The route

Every pin becomes a scorecard.

Season 1's route is being finalized, so here's how destination coverage works. Every stop on the map becomes an episode, a written guide, a real budget, and a scorecard your family can actually plan with.

Hand-painted watercolor map of the United States with landmarks and dashed travel routes: the Basecamp Bound route board

One country. One family. Every route on the map.

How destination coverage works

Four outputs. Every single stop.

We don't do highlight reels. A destination isn't 'covered' until your family can decide, with numbers, whether it belongs on your itinerary.

An episode

The full destination test on video: campgrounds, signature activities, crowds, and the stuff nobody warns you about.

A written guide

The plan-your-own-version companion: routes, campgrounds, timing, and the mistakes we made so you don't have to.

A real budget

Line-item costs (fuel, campgrounds, food, fees), so you know what your version costs before you book anything.

A scorecard

The same ten dimensions, every destination, no exceptions, so a Utah park and a Michigan lake town compare on equal terms.

The scorecard

Ten dimensions. One standard.

Every destination is rated on the same ten dimensions. Scores are ours alone. Sponsored visits are disclosed and never change a number.

Where Season 1 starts.

The launch block is the flat-towing wedge, the skills that make the whole route possible. Then the destination tests begin: trips like Big Bend and the Smokies, scored end to end.

Some of these pins, we've already stood on.

These aren't stock photos. They're snapshots from our own trips. When Season 1 films, places like these get the full treatment: the episode, the guide, the budget, and the scorecard.

For your family

Plan your version, not ours.

Every destination we test becomes the guide, the budget, and the scorecard your family plans with. The first pins go on the map this season, so come see how the route gets scored.
